I've decided to overhaul my site design and make everything more personal-site, indie-web, myspace-esque, and I'm honestly loving it already! It's a process. It took me 2 hours to figure out my overall layout for the home page, then another hour transferring that to this section and the about page. But!! Getting there!!
I jsut felt like my site lacked any real personality. Why would someone click on such a basic website? No character, no flavor, nothing to catch the eye and draw you in. Nothing to keep you on the site either. Now, I'm hoping it speaks more to my personality, esp on the home page! Gonna add some more blorbo edits as I make them, blinkies on each page (probably gonna sort them by the bg color eventually but I'm just dumping them all on the home page for now), and also match the theme on the reviews and writing sections of the site. One night of work got me so far! Hopefully by time you're reading this, I have it all put together. Polished, but more importantly: fun!
Also don't ask about the chat box. Idk what happened to it. It broke before I changed the layout, unfortunately. Maybe in the future I'll add a new one, or attempt to make my own??? Not sure what's within my capabilities, but I've already impressed myself with the changes I've made so far.
Got some creative projects in the works to share here. Might change the writing tab to an overall creations tab?? I want to get into digital art, and I already got back into crochet. I wanna share those parts of myself as much as my poems, lyrics, and fiction exerpts. If you have thoughts, I also updated my social links on my home page to reflect my deletion of a couple apps. Send a tumblr ask or a dm on there or bluesky if you feel so inclined to give input on my site stuff! (or to be friends, idk might be cool if you vibe with my neocities)
I've been linking out to the sources of all blinkies, dividers, picrews, etc. that I might use on my site. Definitely wanna give credit where it's due! I can't design that stuff lol. I did, however, scribble on Picsart to make my backgrounds for every section of my site tehe.
Excited to move forward with my overhaul of the site's theme! Excited to post some more projects I've been working on and some reviews of things I've finished!
