Okay, but the real reason I'm writing today is to inform you all of my new writing vlog series! I revamped my middle school YouTube into an AuthorTube channel (by privating all my old videos and playlists…lol). I just uploaded my first vlog, and I wanted to talk about it!
November has come and gone, and if you were following along, then you've surely noticed the lack of writing challenge updates. That's because both my friend and I gave up. Now, it's not as depressing as it sounds. We both love to write and have been, just not for the challenge. I see it less as a failure and more of a redirection in my craft. My friend wants to try actually completing the challenge another month, but for now, my focus is back on fanfiction.
Lately, I've been putting a lot more emphasis on my alone time. Now, hear me out, I'm not trying to pretend I'm the world's biggest introvert or I've found some secret to loving myself (neither of those are true). I've just found myself seeking others' company at all times of every day. It's fulfilling to spend time with loved ones, but I realized that it was keeping me from understanding myself fully.
By now, I'm sure that most people have heard about a certain annual writing challenge and the massive disappointment with it among writers. If not, then I suggest looking into what your favorite writing challenge thinks about AI because...yikes. That's all I'll say on that.
In light of this news, my friend and I have decided to create our very own writing challenge! It's personalized for the two of us. We track what we want to track and write the amount that feels comfortable for us. All without supporting AI (because real writers write).
